How ESP's Work An ESP (Electro-static precipitator) captures indoor pollutants much like a magnet. As contaminated air is drawn through the unit, the particles are given a positive charge by the ionizer. These charged contaminated particles are deposited on oppositely charged collecting plates as air flows through the unit.
